There should be a dedicated version for Android TV, as the mobile/tablet version once managed to install it in the TV, it will show half vertical screen ❗

i have this device for almost 7 month now, suddenly it got disconnected from the server and it cannot connect to the internet any more, and it goes slow breathing, i tried every thing on the WD support but it doesnt seem to work at all, the major problem is it is un accessible without internet i cant get to my files at all, please help me

Hola! Escribo mi problema por aquí porque no he conseguido ninguna respuesta por parte del servicio técnico a un problema grave... Mis archivos desaparecen "mágicamente" de mi Home Cloud Duo en Mac... Intento abrirlo y desaparece... A veces, logro abrir un archivo, lo edito, lo guardo y desaparece... ¿Alguien me puede ayudar?

Been using an Apple Time Machine 3 Terabyte since 2013 for this purpose.... aint nothing new i can drag and drop files to my Time Machine from any pc or macbook in the home. Since 2013 been streaming movies from it on home network long before wd invented their cloud drive

To Mr. Stephen D Milligan, and any and all WD CUSTOMERS BEWARE; Watch what you hear and believe from WD's CS reps. I bought
2 x 2TB WD Cloud drives, and one 4 TB WD Cloud drives under the impression I could have these stored at my adult children's homes, and backup all of our computer HD's and Cell Phones from our home, so we would have a separate safe place like what they are called a "Cloud" in case of a catastrophe. But after many days, and now months of trying, we finally found out that is NOT true, and that we can only use them as backups from our home, using our home WiFi. Who want's to pay 3 times more than just a backup HD drive, so you spend hours backing them up on a wifi HD? And not only do they cost significantly more, but they take forever to backup, unless your computer or Iphone is right next to them. We just got a confirmation of this today, after our son who is a Software engineer talked to a WD CS rep. We want our money back, or better yet, a REAL CLOUD based drive like advertised. This is false advertising at it's worst. We will be awaiting WD's reply. We are very angry about this, since it has been months of trying to get these to work, and since we haven't, we finally took them to our Son in KC, MO who is software engineer, and found out that they CAN NO ever be used as CLOUD DRIVES safely, and securely over the internet. We at the very least want them replaced with TRUE SECURE WD Cloud Drives, or all our money back.we will be awaiting your response.

Beware before you buy a WD NAS - promises that you can access from the web or your smartphone revokes more or less any compensation. How can ever recommend this company and its solution?

Crap. I only had disappointments with it, from not being able to access the network directly and having to rely exclusively on its APP to losing the connection several times and even losing all data. When I sent it to technical support, they returned saying that they could access the network. I looked for support to see if it had to do with my network and I didn't get any information, and in the end I lost all the data contained in it. In short, I don't want to know about this product ever again, let alone this brand.

My cloud is garbage, I've been trying to use My cloud 3TB for 3 years and it never worked. I' ve chanched also the device and the second one it's the same bullshit. It never Sync all the folders of my pc, it's extremely slow and you lose the connexion after some days. I'm very disappointed with this stupid device. I'd thrown $150 to the garbage

Slower then molasses. Brand New, fully updated, keeps throttling down to 300kps. Useless waste of money, better off with a dialup server. Tons of bloatware exes running in the background also.

WD what a fck? It`s third day that I copy 100Gb of backup on my cloud home. (Early it was 1 hour on My Cloud 2nd). Where is normal interface, how format to normal NTFS, how to get access without wd discovery, how i can see SMART of HDD, when you dismiss (lay off) these mediocre workers and return those who create wd my cloud?

This video is a waste of time. Why not make a video that clearly explains what the drive will do, and state specifically how it differs from the other WD cloud storage products? I'm having a terrible time finding that basic information. I can't buy your product if I don't know which one to select.

Uma porcaria. Só tive decepções com ele, desde não conseguir acessar direto na rede e ter que depender exclusivamente do APP dele até de perder várias vezes a conexão e até mesmo todos os dados. Quando mandei para suporte técnico retornaram dizendo que eles conseguiam acessar pela rede. Procurei por suporte pra ver se tinha a ver com minha rede e não consegui nenhuma informação, e pro fim perdi todos os dados nele contido. Emfim, não quero saber nunca mais deste produto e muito m enos dessa marca.

Useless, not very happy with this product. It's not really a NAS at all.
Very confusing product, don't get it.

It's classed as a cloud product, however, it doesn't really work as a cloud device. The setup is rubbish and convoluted, there is no security based in the local area network, all files transferred to it via a UNC path is exposed, there is no password or user security if accessing the drive via a network path. Really stupid.

The way you are supposed to access your files is stuck in an ecosystem that makes no sense, as you have to use their website to access it, which means if you perform your backups or transfer your files via the network path, you can not access them. But if someone else access the network path, because there is no security on it, they can just delete your backups.
It's so unbelievably stupid. Can't wait to get rid/return this to the shops tomorrow.
