At a Regional I went to in Winnipeg there was a guy who played the event on a Bath Towel that was marker'd up with the patterns you'd see on a Spellground. We called it the "budget Spellground" since it's *technically* made of cloth and it's now something of a meme within my friend group. I've also unironically played a locals using the Budget Spellground mat and the reactions I got were as hilarious as you'd expect.
