Caroline Donica was born in South Korea, but she grew up in Texas with White parents. She describes feeling caught between two worlds–a constant conflict of being perceived as neither fully Asian nor fully White: “not Asian enough to be Asian” and “not White enough to be White.” Over time, however, she found ways to reconnect with her roots–primarily through Korean food and cooking. She hopes to show that we are happiest when we can let go of expectations and accept the journey of finding one’s true, authentic self as a lifelong process.

I can relate to her trials and tribulations. But, from a more societal slant.
