I'm a. middle school teacher and I have students in my class from multiple countries who have been in the United States for less than 2 years. I have been trying to learn a little from each of their home languages so I can greet them each morning. I just got a student in my class from Uzbekistan and I hope to make them feel comfortable and welcomed. Hopefully the time will come where I don't need to have it written on a paper and I can do it based off truly learning the phrases.

Quite often meeting Uzbeks in Ukraine, very nice sweet people, i guess that would be nice from my side to study something from their language as well, i mean they are just so welcoming
