Beautiful performance at the end Ashlee! I'll have to give Burgmuller's music another look. I haven't spent time on his works since I was back in school. Thanks for reminding me of him. (:

Super helpful! I especially enjoyed hearing you play the Barcarolle piece. Beautiful! I’m currently working on Ave Maria.

I bought this book of sheet music about 12 years ago
I love the music although because I am mostly self-taught this book may well be the bane of my existence but that doesn't make love the music any less, just means I need to keep trying lol

I’ve heard people play Burgmuller’s Arabesque but that was all I knew about him. (I liked what you played even more.) Its so nice to learn about his compositions and how important musicality was to him. Thank you!

Thanks for the video! We often give Burgmuller etudes to our students, they're short and they really help prepare for more difficult pieces.

Beautiful piece and performance, Ashlee! As a beginner, I feel them like a dream, well... an unreachable dream, I must say: I'm still in my (musical) cradle, playing with a few rebellious keys that insist to hide from me all the beauty I know they can produce. I guess I'll have to wait for the next reincarnation...🤔(Oh! if, at least, I could believe in this...).

Back to my first little steps! I'm trying really hard to believe in them.

Thanks Ashley. Burgmuller pieces are just amazing and all 25 pieces are gems. They are short .They are so versatile in developing the elusive hand independence.above all they sound so beautiful.for eg Harmony of Angels.
I wish a teacher does the teaching method for all 25 pieces of Burgmuller so that it will help students to play them.i know about 5 pieces of Burgmuller.I wish Ashley was one of my teachers.
