Thank you so much for the feature ... it totally made my day. In setting the puzzle I was striving for symmetry, minimal ruleset, and no given digits. And of course, coloring puzzles are always fun.

I love a good negative constraint, and this one is among the best I’ve seen.

19:52 Small issue I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think at this point in the solve that could still be a 1. So technically it is a Green or a 1. It doesn't take long for Simon to place a 1 in that row independently of the logic for the Cell to be Green so the Solve Path is still completely logical as far as I can tell, but if someone else is wondering why that couldn't be a 1 and had to be Green digit then here you are. In any event, loved the solve and the puzzle. Have a wonderful day whoever reads this.

22:52 Places the 1. In case you're curious.

81:50 for me, which is obviously much, much slower than most people here, but for me it's still a sign of progress: It used to be the case that I wouldn't even have been able to figure out how to approach this kind of puzzle and would have had to watch Mark or Simon solve it. Now I managed to do it all without peeking at the solve and pretty much always had an idea what to do or to look for. It's just that I'm still so slow at spotting things. :)

30:01 for me, once I realized colouring was the way to go, it went pretty smoothly.
One of the first of these puzzles I've been able to solve actually.
Beautiful puzzle Blobz!

33:50 The quote you were trying to get at was spoken by Theoden as he was dying on Pelenor Fields, "My body is broken. I go now to my fathers. And even in their mighty company I shall not be ashamed" wonderful puzzle I had a good time trying to solve it along side you. I don't know whether i could have made very leap on my own but I got the Idea of how to color it correctly (after a dead end of trying to start my coloring from the top of the grid) but the idea of using the negative constraint to fill in the rest of the coloring eluded me and when i heard that I paused the video applied the technique and was able to solve it from there. It was good fun.

A2: I've been thinking about that and wrote some code to make that possible. Let me know which channel you think would be a good fit!

23:00 Green-orange can be disambiguated using the GW line in box 7 -- since the line is an odd number of cells long the ends are the same side of 5, while two cells adding to 11 that do not include a 5 must be from the opposite sides of 5, so both ends of the line cannot be green.

I love any sudoku that can be solved by coloring, ❤

34:54 for me. Beautiful puzzle. I definitely think calling it "easy" would be doing an injustice to the puzzle, but once I wrapped my head around the idea of the negative constraint and coloring the different cages, it flowed very well from then on. The German whispers to help move the logic along was a great touch, and I thoroughly enjoyed that puzzle. Had to sit for a minute after solving and reminisce on the logical path, I thought it was truly beautiful.

At 20:03 Simon deduces that that r8c3 should be green, but he forgets that it might be 1. Almost three minutes later, at 22:54, he learns, no, it cannot be 1. He dodged a bullet.

Wow! What a brilliant puzzle. With the colors it could be solved as if by magic. It was my great pleasure to solve the puzzle.

This is a brilliant idea. Blobz's 11-cages pair 9/2, 8/3, 7/4, 6/5 with 1 uncageable, just as Xs pair 9/1, 8/2, 7/3, 6/4 with 5 unXable. So you could have a very similar sudoku with Xs and a 5 in the middle. The disambiguation would have to work differently, though.
But all that colouring means that it would not be practicable to solve this with pen and paper.

28:44. I think this is the first time I came in significantly under the video length. I have finally learned the power of coloring (i occasionally used it before, but never from the start)
Very nice puzzle!

19:37 for me. This puzzle really fit my eye I guess because I don’t think I’ve ever had a quicker time than Simon EVER! Great puzzle, Blobz!

Anyone else shouting at Simon from 29:00 onwards to use the the RW from the 2 in R8C2 to sort out R8C2 not being a 6?

I was cheering him on to notice it until 30:26 when he's like "OH ITS DONE". Oh good he's finally spotted it and is going back to explain...

..but no, he resolves using something more tricky (but rather nice) with the box 9 RW.

Beautiful puzzle! I solved it but took me an age to remember to use the negative constraint, then it flowed very nicely, Enjoyed watching Simon's solve too. Love the colours.

I propose a "500K Subscribers Livestream" where Mark plays a game while Simon provides background music on his guitar.

I started colouring and narrowed most of the pairs down to two possible colours, then I got stuck until I realized that dominos that touch each other can never be the same colour because of the negative constraint. It solved pretty smoothly after that, and felt very rewarding to solve, I absolutely loved this puzzle.
