Yeah, metal slides are killer during the summer time.

I actually really love this one, because of the folklore aspect to it. Its a story to tell to instruct kids not to slide down in an unsafe way, this is how kids lose their front teeth, or put holes in their lips. I can absolutely imagine telling this to kids to oldschool style scare them into safety.

Fun Fact:The Cave that you go in is actually a reference to the nutty putty cave incident in 2009 since a man called John actually passed away at that slope because he was originally going through the tightest spot which was the birth canal but he went the wrong way and ended up at a dangerous territory which caused him to be extremely tight and ended up being stuck at that tight slope for 27 hours which made him pass away in the cave.

So basically if you didn’t feel like going HEAD FIRST for some reason, you basically just had some godly life saver

I was just thinking about how disturbing this SCP was last night. Good timing. It's a basic but terrifying idea: a slide that appears finite on the outside but is infinite on the inside. (Though a bit more complicated than that). I was actually scared of the darkness of tube slides as a kid, and I can't imagine what it would be like if said slide was impossible to escape.

I think part of what makes this scp so hard hitting is the audio log records. Really chilling stuff

check out scp 747: the impossible jet. it's basically a boeing 747 that has dead passengers. it's considered 'safe' since it's only dangerous during certain times; so if you don't go near it during those times, it's harmless. it seems content to stay in the foundation's hangar since it's made no attempts to escape.

those pictures of the tunnel and the red dudes are the pictures they showed of the nutty putty incident.

On November 24, 2009, 26-year-old John Edward Jones became stuck and died in the cave after being trapped inside for 27–28 hours. Jones and three others had left their party in search of "The Birth Canal", a tight but navigable passageway with a turnaround at the end.

That's how that guy got stuck and passed away.

Typically just reading SCP documents never scare me. Playing games obviously does but that’s games. Just reading or listening to scp’s never really effect me.

However, this SCP is the only one to make me feel uncomfortable and unnerved. I get nervous sweats just thinking about it even

My single guess as to why it effects me so much is because kids are involved which usually gets me in horror.
The line
“He kept screaming and crying and asking for his mommy”
That is what got me the most I think
I’m not even claustrophobic. Sure I don’t like tight spaces but I don’t think I’m claustrophobic. But this gives me the feeling I think

I wonder what would happen if a test subject was shown an image of the Shy Guy right before going down the slide. Shy Guy can be tracked unless he goes down the slide as well which would be kind of funny.

2:24 This is actually a interesting concept, realistically humans probably wouldn’t study such scps, or even notice. if a tree falls in an empty forest or whatever. I hope someone takes advantage of this concept soon!

aah yes, the interdimensional slide. this scp was definitely terrifying, with my first exposure to this SCP was in TatsTopVideos' Top Scariest SCPS #3, where this scp was mentioned, and its recorded logs acted out. Hearing the acted out logs and imagining the implications are the things claustrophobics have nightmares about. Especially adding the time distortion aspect of this scp, hearing the cries of the last victim from when they first got in there, instead of what they're currently saying, adds even more horrific implications to waht this possibly could be. a Portal to a claustrophobic cave in the middle of the earth with no chance of escape.

This sounds like one of the mythical cautionary tales that you tell children so they dont do stupid, dangerous stuffs. "Dont go near the river at night because there's a river monster" kind of stories.

i like this cause it kinda spooky. it reminds me of that episode of Dr Who about the library, when the people die and their consciousness is temporarily stored in those little devices, and they're kind of conscious but kinda not.
