Wasn't getting good sounds in D chord. It's pretty hard to get the strings in contact with the fret. Specially the e minor one

Woah, I assumed you wanted to put your finger in the middle of the fret! I think tip #2 was my issue.

Hello Mr. Troy!
The first two strings (E and B) tend to ring on a bit louder than necessary, especially during an upstroke, and that kind of muffles up the root note(if it’s on the top two strings especially) or the lower notes.
While I’ll admit that kind of helps me when I need a funky sound (with the 7th chords, for example), it’s annoying while I’m playing a normal triad chord. I’ve been playing guitar for about 8 months now and I just can’t seem to get it right. Some help would be very much obliged.
P.S. Loved your channel. Highly informative! 🤘🏽

I sure have a hard time at this I'm 6 foot 2 with bigger hands.
I just am starting to practice for the first time, seems I have to exercise my wrist and finger to stretch to their maximum around the guitar neck and curl around straight to the string first before I can even think of playing a single note .
Being new to this, my hand and wrist articulation will be probably most difficult challenge I think.

ALSO.... Tell them by trying to get to close to the fret .. that they don't climb accidentally on top of the fret .. which change the ring tone... To stay just behind as mentioned.. Again thanks.. I do know if You acoustic players like Leo kottke and Tommy Emmanuel that play with their thumb out wrapped all the way around
