I love how everyone has become a philosopher to interpret Cassie's scene

Cassie’s shot is such a masterpiece of photography ! It is like a renaissance painting it is just mezmerising

the montage basically puts on a lens over all the problems with the characters showing how they destroy themselves and don't see it because they're too distracted with other things. it shows their downfall. Cassie drowning in her flowers, the heartbroken heartbreaker. Elliot, in a church probably overdosing because he was in the wrong crowd. Jules, in golden light showing her guilt but also how she is hurt by Rue. Kat down the street, how she feels her life isn't going anywhere. Lexi, sat in an empty theatre, she watches all the drama and is a bystander, she feels like she'll always be the one to do so. Fez, he's waiting for hope, but it won't come because he doesn't know how to accept that. He'll probably get caught by the end of the season. Maddy, floating in water, probably feels like she's always going to be in that situation and can never escape, she's drowning in luxury. Rue. She knows if she carries on it won't end well, and she's accepted that. It just goes to show how problematic all the characters are.

the real gut punch for me was when camera pulls back from Cassie to see that she is not there. Phisically she should be facing the mirror, but she's trapped in her reflection, in this idea of her as an incredibly beautiful person in a room full of flowers (symbolising both her addiction to love and relationships with men) but the actual room is dark and lonely, only the mirror is bright.

Those are the shots that make us feel emotional. I just love it. The flower represent who she was, her inocence.

These scenes represent turning points for every character. Whether good or bad. The next few episodes are gonna be insane.

I like Cassie's arc because it shows how addiction isnt just drugs. Cassie is a serial monogamist and she's addicted to relationships. Addiction isnt a choice it's a health problem and needs intervention.

i feel like the shot with cassie is very significant for the future episodes: the flowers surrounding her are like her insecurities she was too scared to face alone and why she avoids being alone at all by jumping into relationships. however because the flowers overpower the shot, they also overpower cassie and because she is crying is she is realising that she has to face her demons soon which will only do her better in the long-term. i think speaking realistically, and not defending caddie’s past actions this season, she does deserve true happiness which i think she will get if she starts to love herself which i think she will start doing after this ep, i mean just look at the earlier scene where she stands up to nate and turns the manipulation against him, almost blackmailing him. the fact she doesn’t even care what maddy will do when she finds out shows she’s becoming ready to be alone, which is the one thing that has petrified her all her life. gotta respect that.

I just realized that those cuts/scars on a characters leg near the very end look kinda fresh and since Jules had a history of self harm that must be her leg… Which means she has also relapsed.
