Cities need innovative tools that can address multiple climate challenges at once and protect our most vulnerable communities. There is growing evidence that nature-based solutions can increase both the physical resilience of our landscapes and improve the well-being of people.

On April 20, Greenbelt Alliance's Resilience Manager Berna Idriz engaged in conversation with Veronica Pearson, Senior Ecological Restoration Planner at Marin County Parks, and Josh Bradt, Watershed Specialist & Project Manager at San Francisco Estuary Partnership, to talk about how our cities and communities can leverage nature-based solutions, focusing on case studies from around the San Francisco Bay Area. We shared tips on incorporating nature-based solutions into planning processes, creating equitable policies that prioritize frontline communities, and best practices for community engagement.During this webinar, Greenbelt Alliance and the Bay Area Youth Climate Summit announced the winners of the Power of Nature Youth Art Contest.
