They are a truck that is for sure but I love mine.
If you don't try to go fast it will tow very well in its 2000-2500rpm power band.

Own 2011 dmx 120k serviced every 5 to 6 k oilchange filter. 43 miles per gallon at 80 k's around country roads. tested the latest 1.9 auto dmax. Sorry will keep my 2011 dmax. Quite frankly the Mahindra 4x4 and sanggyong Musso I also test drove were better to drive and more appealing than the latest DMax.

Buying a tray back doesn't seem to add up as I recently just went through this process. A better speced ute / tub can be had with much higher equipment levels on offer for less money and saves plenty to add a better after market tray back than factory.

If one also looks at the Mazda BT-50 lineup without the Isuzu pricing anomaly where Isuzu push you into the premium X terrain ute variant there is more rational pricing on offer. Mazda after sales and customer support is also far better with vehicle and parts availability and their 5 year roadside assist which includes towing and accommodation until your vehicle is back on the road anywhere in Australia.

Class action investigation into previous generation due to lack of customer support and major failures, structurally and internally. For virtually the same price you can get the Ranger XLT V6 cab chassis. No brainer…..👍
