Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care physicians and advanced practice providers.

Statement of Need
Practice rapidly evolves with the development of new pharmacological interventions. Providers are not always aware of
the latest pharmacology guidelines and updates in the treatment of chronic medical conditions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
1. Provide a brief history of dyslipidemia
2. Define and classify common types of dyslipidemia
3. Review assessment and screening of dyslipidemia
4. Explore the prevalence of dyslipidemia
5. Identify the causes, risk/contributing factors and complications of dyslipidemia
6. Discuss optimal treatment and management of dyslipidemia
7. Review medication classes available for lipid management
8. Identify appropriate therapy for lipid management based on patient specific factors
