Euro NCAP Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the Full Width test, 100% of the width of the car impacts a rigid barrier at 50 Km/h. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 32 km/h into a rigid pole.

They are both epicly safe, but the BMW did better in crash test with those curtain airbags provided ensuring maximum safety incase you hit the side walls...

Great video I traded in my old 5 series for an e class wagon a little while back both are great cars id definitely recommended the Benz for anyone in the market though

After 15 years of driving MB I think im going to get a BMW. LOL 1:07 looked liked hollywood movie status with MB star in the air. I like BMW is using regular wheels instead of low profile.

Both should be good but the mercedes side airbag didnt deployed at frontal crash test so theres much more chances of hitting your head hard at the side pillar:)
