Join me as I fly with Delta Air Lines First Class on a 757-300 from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. I’m in seat 2A on the “Flying Pencil,” the world’s longest single aisle, twinjet exploring what 2020 has done to Delta Airlines First Class.

We’ll use the JebScore methodology to explore every aspect of Delta Air Lines First Class. We’ll look at lounge access (Spoiler alert…there is none), the seat, the inflight entertainment, the food, and the service all in order to answer the question: “Does it make sense to fly Delta Airlines First Class in 2020 (and beyond)…

At the risk of stating the obvious: Delta Air Lines sell more economy tickets than first class tickets. But, perhaps you’re thinking about booking First Class? In this video, I’m going to aim to help you decide whether it makes sense for you to pay to upgrade with Delta Airlines in this brave new world. After watching, let me know whether you see enough value to pay a premium.

Delta Air Lines First Class is dramatically different today than it was this time last year. The experience has taken a downturn as Delta Airlines does its best to save money and reduce risks.

As a Delta gate agent in Atlanta I'm happy to see you flying again Jeb and posting videos about this wonderful airline I work for. Yes these are trying times for aviation but we will come back stronger then ever and full service will return😊

As a flight crew, I feel the same way about the excitement of turning onto the active runway. I'm always reminded of how blessed I am to have the occupation I do & remember to always appreciate everything in life.

Takeoffs are absolutely the best part of a flight. You see the world grow smaller, and somehow your cares shrink along with it. I miss that feeling so much!

My favorite part of flying is the take off roll. That initial crawl, the exponential speed gain, the moments of weightlessness as the plane lifts off the ground...then the realization that you, a human being with arms instead of wings, are in the air, flying at speeds no other animal will ever achieve...

I'm surprised they offer no sodas. I do not drink alcohol, water would get old quickly. Meal service is a major disappointment.

Let me start by saying I LOVE 'TRADITIONAL' FIRST CLASS! during these coronavirus times, it's no longer worth it. Of course, I found this out the hard way. I paid $1300 for a flight from NY to LAX - and when I was served a box, that included a stick of beef jerky and some chips, I was livid. Based on this video, I have to counter with the question; Service?! There is no service. To be seated in the First Class Cabin all you're going to receive is an attendant who is going to give you a plastic bag, filled with 'snack food' and a Wet Wipe?! That's not service.

I really admire your commentary. Like you, the turn to “lift-off” and the thrill of knowing I am on another adventure, is always there. I absolutely love traveling, and enjoy your videos. Glad to find your channel!

Two agrees: 1) I love when the pilots do what I call a "turn and burn"...as they turn onto the takeoff runway, they spool the engines up to takeoff thrust without stopping. 2) I enjoy a little turbulence during a flight. Makes it more interesting.

Hi Jeb ! Your video on St. Helena Island was the first one I saw and got hooked to your crisp presentation with relevant facts and figures which keeps the viewer's interest intact throughout your video. Great job ! Greetings from India

I LOVE this video! Not very many big travel YouTubers do 757-300 reviews. The 757-300 is my favorite plane because I flew it with my family for a vacation to Fort Myers Florida in February 2019. I love flying, but I don’t often get to do it. My last flight was my return from Florida and before then, I hadn’t flown in 10 years! But my Florida trip and the 757-300 have a special place in my life. I even have a small 1:400 scale model of a Delta 757-300 on display. Love the fact that you did a video with my favorite plane! This channel gives me the opportunity to feel like I am traveling and flying even though I rarely do it. 😁😁😁

Regardless of the reduction in on-board and airport services, I still love the process of entering the airport, checking in, boarding the plane and taking pictures with the aircraft! Great video! Looking forward to the comparison between the different airlines! Nice aviation content!

This is hilarious. You can't order a mixed drink, coffee, or a soda in first class on Delta and they only offer water to coach class. I just flew Allegiant Air round trip non-stop to Florida for a total of 56.50 for my round trip ticket, and you could order any drink you want. Granted, you had to pay for it, but still, it's comical.

You're not crazy at all.
When the plane turns onto the runway for departure is an awesome moment.

Me being a speed junkie, the acceleration up to take off is awesome as well. That force of being pushed back in your seat and getting up to speed is an incredible feeling as well.

I always have my Ulysses speedometer app running on my phone. It's usually pretty accurate even up in the air.

Great report Jeb! I finally got to do my first COVID trip with the wife CMH FLL and back. Delta was fantastic as always and even more so with my wife who’s a nurse and a “clean freak”. She was blown away how each plane was so clean. First flight on the 757-300 too up to ATL from FLL. We were in the back but it was fantastic and I was so glad to check the 300 off on my bucket list.

For me, seat comfort is important, so, price dependant, I’ll be seen upfront. As for the magic of taxi and take-off; it never gets old for me!

Great video Jeb! I LOVE THE 757! Especially the -300 model it’s sooo long and takes off from small runways it’s also very fast!
Can’t wait to fly the 757 again as soon as I can, especially if in First class!

I love the partial spooling up and then the full in two distinct stages on take off.
