THANKS! I love your video, it is visually pleasant. Spent 2 years working on first metal album with friends. Zero side chain mostly and all compressors at the default setting. After tracking and editing, I used Ozone and Mixea with VSX headphones to get it somewhere 25% decent enough for the release. Now I am wanting to learn how and why everything works so I can faithfully provide a music that matches the imagination of itself. Sidechain compression is like running with scissors. Oooh it can be sooo bad. Aah but the kids love it. Have tried on numerous occasions to explain the concept to the boilermaker apprentices at work.They love their dance. Maybe this will do the trick. Cheers Cap.

How would you do this if your drums are coming from a drum-kit VST? I'm using monster drums which allows for individual components to be mixed, and I don't necessarily want to use a separate track for each component. Maybe in the future. But for now, is it possible?

Does anyone not hear the synth moving as though it was going through a vibrato effect? He should have just sc'ed the small frequency range of the synth that was nearest the kick frequency.
