On the street… well in math buildings 🤣
Great video!! I’m majoring in math and love to collect books on different topics! Thanks for sharing 🙌

These are definitely my favorite type of videos you make. Its always good to be able to get honest reviews about a large set of books on various topics.

Math sorcerer bringing a date home:
"How about you and I bring it over to the bedroom?"
"Oh?"
"Yeah ;). I want to show you the middle row of my bookshelf, the first book is a graduate level book on ring theory...."

I’m using Lang’s linear algebra book. Honestly he writes very clear. He goes into details on proofs before and after and I like how frequent exercises pop up. It’s a crime how Lang’s books are less than $100 compared to a cengage or a Larson

Yesss! I love all of your book reviews. Could you please put them into a playlist?

Loved the video! Can we get a day in the life of the math sorcerer?

Fabulous collection. One can observe how much the way Mathematics is communicated has changed Edwards to Kaplan, Herstein to Gallian, Hoffman Kunze to Anton... Thank you.

David Powers was my professor for Boundary Value Problems! That's cool to see someone else has his book that didn't go to my school.

Wackerly was my text for probability and statistics. It is solid. Hoffman and Kunze was also my assigned text for a second course in linear algebra. That one was optional but I wanted to understand the mechanisms behind linear regression better. I got that and lot more. And I've read it a couple of times since then as a refresher.

After seeing one of your "reviewing books" videos, I got Larson's Calculus and I really really really like it.The 11th edition is really modern, well written, instructional and intuitive. I get really excited when I find mathematical books that are written with a "good educational perspective".
To you have any similar recommendations like Larson's for the rest of the "major" topics (probability theory, linear, etc etc)?

Wow! I wish I had that many math books. Even though I'm not familiar with most of the math concepts, it is truly interesting to hear about these concepts. I can't wait to learn about these math concepts in the coming decade of my academic career.

I used Linear Algebra by Hoffman-Kunze for some homeworks I did with a friend at college. Also I worked exercises from Advanced Calculus by Schaum's publishers, in fact a professor I had put lots of examples from that book to show and give solution on class. :)

Love Gallian for examples! Fraleigh as well. I should find a way to share pictures of my math collection. There are hundreds by now.

Im a math nerd, my two favorite textbooks to study is AP calculus. Functional analysis, and advanced calculus. So what book, do you recommend. On a good understanding of what a banach space is?

I'm jealous! I want a bookshelf like that

I'm starting maths at uni this year and I just noticed that we don't have a proofs class. What's a good one so I can learn it myself?

I woukd suggest the Encyclopedia Brittanica Macropedia as an essential element for self study. The EB allows an overarching view of math topics and resources for more in depth analysis...
