Nothing has changed. It's 2025, the new generation of GPUs RTX 5000 and I have this fucking sound on my Palit RTX 5080 GameRock OC.
My friend has a Gainward RTX 5080 Phantom GS and it's the same. Greetings from Slovakia.

Same with my 2080 Strix. Use Afterburner, find out the rpm range your fans cause that sound and modify a fan courve skipping this range. Did it 3 years ago and everything is fine. A shame that customers have to fix those problems....

A lot of the new Zotac card have this kind of noise, but not as loud. If you free spin the Zotac fans there is nothing that stands out, silent, but as soon as the motor gets juice, you can hear a noise very similar to this noise.

I have the same noise on the 4080 and once you hear it, you can't un-hear it. The noise is from the fan changing speed, rather than a specific RPM range for me. I just set a flat fan curve at 40%, which keeps everything cool and that noise will only present itself as the fans kick up and wind down.

Wish I saw this video before purchasing. This card is duff. Luckily the merchant I bought it from accepted a RMA. Horrific sound. Especially on a mostly silent build.

Same Noise with my Palit RTX 4090 Gamerock. Many People reporting about it.

The Founders Edition is the quietest for msrp. Highly recommend over others with a bolder price tag for quietness.

You guys what the highest temp you can go with 4090 to be safe it’s pretty loud I boost the fan speed up to 75% is it suppose to be this loud?

I got 4070ti Gamerock Premium and have the same rattle noise coming out from all 3 fans. I don't think it's bearings (although I won't spin them to 1200rpm by hand) but rather the electric motors right from 30% fan speed. It gets a little better at 32% but still annoying. And 30% is hard locked in vbios as the min fan speed so cannot test any lower speed. I'm thinking about returning it.

Same sound on palit 4070 TiS . I send it rma. I think this sound about I think it has something to do with the air hitting the radiator leaves. It sounds like the refrigerator motor is running..

I have the Gamerock 4080 and it has the same 3 fans and shroud. You have to go through the rpm range of the GPU fans in a quiet room to find the problem (noisy) rpm's, set a custom fan curve and simply avoid those rpm's. In my humble opinion, no GPU comes with good fans (except the new Noctua gpus). I have even deshrouded 2 Strix cards because they sound like jet engines to me. Gigabyte, Palit ASUS etc - all loud cheap jet fans lol. I am in the process of deshrouding and installing 2x Arctic P14 fans on my 4080 Gamerock (as I did with my Palit 3080). The heatsink has some raised brackets on it so It's going to take me some work to get the fans to sit flush but I have figured out a way to do it. Deshouded every GPU of mine since GTX 980.
