How to use Ibis Paint to see what your fabric will look like on a sewing pattern

A very brief tutorial just to give you an idea of how you can test out fabric choices. I have used a photograph here, but you can also use a line drawing from your pattern and just trace the lines of that.

1. Download Ibis paint if you have an android device. $2.99/month. If you have an iPad, you can use a tool called Procreate to do this same thing.
2. Open up the photo or line drawing and add a blank layer.
3. Use the pen tool to trace the shape of your garment.
4. Add another layer and click on the camera to browse to the picture of your fabric.
5. Scale the fabric down to what it will look like on you.
6. Choose the repeat feature to get a whole page of the fabric.
7. Now, use the erase tool to scrape away the fabric and reveal the shape of the garmen that will be filled in with your fabric.
8. Export as a jpg.
