As roosevelt said "Speak softly but carry a big stick", India lacks that big stick., we are so obsessed in maintaining the good guy appearance, small countries around us don't think twice to screw us over.

We may have Communist and socialist government in South. But, Indian Nationalism is engraved within those movement (like Dravidian movement). Karunanidhi is the first CM who fought for state rights to hoist National Flag.

Kerela might be a lost cause deeply invested in their Communist ideology, idk. But, TN in no way is anti-national. Yes, we have out differences with the Centre. But, we are proud Indians

India have good soft speaking diplomats..but there is huge deficit in hard speaking diplomats...even our foreign ministry issues statement after days...we give befitting reply but very slow it may take even years...i don't know much about Kerala..but in Tamilnadu we respect our country...even though leftist govt in power..we like India...but we have certain problem between centre and state which is reflected among public.. polarisation politics also plays it's role...please don't fall to it...all our enemy and so called partner wants is maximum polarisation in our country...so they can come and lecture us on human rights...

The US/NATO/AUKUS axis has three carrier strike groups in the South China Sea. No video about that. But this video is about one Chinese ship in a Sri Lankan port, allegedly threatening India. Guys, have some perspective. We're now inciting the global south against each other. We're talking about India secessionist conspiracy in order to look for Asian enemies. China is not allowed to move it's assets in Asia but US/NATO/AUKUS is.

"Debt trap diplomacy" is phraseology that was coined by the US State Department to demonize the phenomenal Chinese-led infrastructure development in the global south. Sri Lanka owes only 10% of it's debt to China, but it owes western creditors 55% of its debt. Sri Lanka run out of foreign reserves and was about to default on their loans so they asked China for help. Both countries struck a deal where China agreed to provide the foreign reserves and run the port in exchange. Proceeds from the port will be used to offset the loans and compensate China.

This is what happens with nice guys.
No one will ever take them seriously.
I expected a little more aggressive reply from indian gov. They can't just be friends and family with us when they need help and then go on and disregard all our concerns based of some technicality. This is not done.

India should be tough on its neighbours cuz they are taking India's soft pacifying attitude towards them as weakness and taking India for a ride.

Well, lets compare one China survelliance ship in Sri Lanka vs US aircraft carriers & battle groups sailing up & down China's coast and thru Taiwan straits to stir trouble. Freedom of navigation? See US reaction if Russian & China warships sail along US coast. We all want peace, stability & mutual respect. Let us all stop the war mongers. God Bless the Peacemakers.

Also:
1.Indian oil open outlets in Sri Lanka when other companies living Lanka.
2. India also promised to give 2 Dornier airplane to coastguard their sea.
I don't why neighbours think...by this much help we genuinely expect that neighbours respect our territorial integrity and saafety.

The more India uses US technologies like geospatial, communication, hi tech, the more India is beholden to US. This will ultimately lead India to the control by US. When US ask India to jump, India will ask "how high sir".

As a Sri Lankan, I can say that Indians are NOT reading the situation in SL correctly. Rajapaksas were not pro- China as many used to think. It was not Rajapaksa who gave the Hambanthota port to China but Wickramasinghes who was brought to power in 2015 ironically with US and Indian help. And Sri Lanka was NOT in a Chinese debt trap. Only 10% of SL debt belongs to China. The root cause for Sri Lanka's debt crisis is International Sovereign Bonds. Again during the period from 2015-2019, SL had taken an excessive amount of ISBs while GDP growth rate plummeted. That is the root cause of SL crisis.

Rajapaksa gov tried to avoid a bankruptcy by going for austerity measures and settling loans due on time. But the people were mad with the austerity measures. Specially the global situation after Russian war, loss of tourism revenue and high fuel prices made austerity measures increasingly difficult. So the protests starts. The protests resulted in one main policy change. Sri Lanka's central bank chose to pay for people's day to day needs like fuel forgoing debt payments. So Sri Lanka declared bankruptcy. Now SL have a huge problem. Because SL needs to restructure its debt and negotiate with its creditors. China is a creditor. In order to get the IMF bail out package and restructure the debts, SL need to come to an agreement with all its creditors which includes China. Now after declaring bankruptcy, SL is now in a Chinese debt trap. If China does not support debt restructuring negotiations, SL cannot get IMF loans. So SL cannot say NO to any Chinese ship docking at the port.

Very well explained video, kudos to you sir but the comment on Kerala and Tamil Nadu was unnecessary. As a nation and we might have diverse political views and we have every right to but after all we are one. Nobody needs to be worried we would create tension just because KL/TN has views similar to Sri Lanka or China. Mahatma Gandhi is the father of our nation here in South India too :) Simply don’t assume things and spill toxicity on such platforms.

I appreciate the effort you put in to share good knowledgeable videos and I always loved your videos. I'm from Tamilnadu. The thought of you expressing that Kerala and Tamilnadu can become anti- India forces is really upsetting. If you share this kinds thoughts, this can trigger such thoughts in people. I kindly request you to remove that part of that video alone🙂
