(ENG) BMW 3 Series GT Gran Turismo - Test Drive and Review

Following the 5 Series Gran Turismo launched in 2009 is BMW's new 3 Series GT. The concept is similar. Slightly higher sitting position, more legroom, bigger luggage space. All this is supposed to attract new customers, not able to choose between the sedan and the estate versions. This is my first drive during the official launch in Sicily, Italy.

During these launch events we usually get to drive along some twisty mountain roads. In the city and on motorways the 2-liter diesel is fine even in an X3, but as the car starts to climb you find yourself wanting a little more ;)
Like with the 5 GT probably also the 3 GT will me much better with xDrive as an all-rounder.

;) Individual character! Exactly. Mercedes (even E63 AMG, SLS, you name it) has a more laid back character. At least that's how I feel it. Great machines, but with more gravity.

i get your joke, but generally speaking i don't think that a comfortable ride means that a car is for old people! does a car that shakes you teeth every time you're on a bumpy road, makes you feel like a young racing driver? I don't think so! Mercedes and BMW cars don't address the same people. Each brand has its own character. The only thing they have in common is that by inventing the motorcar, Mercedes gave BMW something to do!
