but... what about the best tactic for the last layer... praying for a last layer skip!

This is the exact same way I solve a cube. Entirely because of my best friend. One day he just decided to bring a cube to school and my classmates ultimately decided it would be cool for everyone to learn it so we did (he taught us the basic way but I got special lessons from him😂) we were so serious about it we even did finger exercises to turn the cube faster😂. Eventually it got so popular that our school held a competition for it😂

Speedcubing might've been the best hobby I invested my time into

Thank you tingman. About a year ago I had come across this video when I was using the beginner method. Now I use beginner cfop and I’m learning full OLL. I used to average a minute and now it’s 24 seconds. I truly thank you and the other cubing YouTubers with a lot of respect. I am soon going to meet Tymon Kolasinski (hopefully I spelled that right) in a competition. I never new these methods even existed until this video. Now that I have come across this video once again, I decided to thank you for your great efforts in other video leading to success. And to everyone, you can do anything if you try.

This method is known as CFOP
C: cross
F: f2l (first 2 layers)
O: oll (orientation of the last layer)57 algs
P: pll (permutation of the last layer)21 algs

As an intermediate overview, moving from beginner to more advanced solving, I like stuff like this. Especially when new, I got lost in the details. A short video like this gives a framework around which I can build in the details of each step. (I wish more instructional videos on more study subjects had a good general overview like this. THEN I can work on filling in the details of each part.)

Him: "you gotta put this here and this on the back"
Me, a non cuber: put what in the what and what what where back how?

But is this “How speedcubers are able to solve a Rubik’s cube in a couple of seconds!” or “How speedcubers are able to solve a Rubik’s cube, explained in a few seconds!”

Tingman : How speedcubers solve cube in seconds⏰
Meanwhile non cubers when they solve in 59 seconds for the first time: YES! I AM A SPPEDCUBER😎

Amazing! It seems simple. Just remove the part where the cube has to be solved

Doing pseudoslotting is a great way to complete the F2L step. I use it in my solves and it reduces my average time of doing the F2L by 8 seconds.
