If you try to type a space into a field name in Tableau, you will get an error message saying that it's invalid. In this video, I show you how to use special text to create a blank field name.

I literally submitted an application for ds22 the day after u posted this video after spending nearly an hour of head scratching trying to format the row label!
My solution was using alt + 0173 to create my invisible calculation name.

Thank you much for the blank space tip! I just thought it might be useful to keep field names descriptive like "Is Profitable" for future reference. And instead of using a blank field name, I used blank commenting on the pill. For that I clicked twice on the "Is Profitable" pill on the rows shelf to edit the pill, typed "//⠀" and Shift + Enter (on Windows) before [Is Profitable], so the first row in the pill was the blank space, and the second row is the actual field [Is Profitable], and pressed Enter, so the filed name became blank on the viz.

Thanks for the tutorial. Let's say you can want to add a green dot for the other group in the same column as the red dot. Is that possible? Using what you presented I could add another column to add another dot color but trying to find a way to do it in the same column. Thanks.

Just curious, if you formatted your "Is Profitable" header text as white text, would you the same result?
