This is esentially a perfect cover. Phrasing, attack, sound, some minor personal touch thing added, general feeling... Everything! And the tune, oh, the stuff of dreams... it is one of those that define Hendrix's genius. You really DO DIG Jimi :D

Definitely one of my favourite Hendrix tunes.

This, and Little Wing live at the Royal Albert Hall, Hey Joe live in Stockholm '69. And pretty much all of Band Of Gypsys.

I think this tune though is one of the main reasons I fell in love with Strat neck pickups.

As a full-blooded man, I'm not afraid to admit to whoever reads this that neck pickups make me moist.

You play it well. You know Jimi was a great guitarist, but an even greater poet, and noone ever mentions that, or maybe even noticed that, but I got to mention it. Not only that, but his feel for adding music to his poetry was incredible. I can't think of any other artist that could do that.

Never truly appreciate how great Hendrix was until you plug in the lyrics and realize Jimi's boundless creativity and being so true to life and no two songs of his sound alike. To have near close guitar riffs to enjoy, i am not a great guitarist, but thanks many times over for allowing us an all too brief pleasure, a privilege, it is to have something left after his niece, Jannie, took it all away from us.
