My reaction to your intro was "if you ever cover any of the warhammer franchises, you'd not only have to start from the beginning, but you'd also have to cover the whole thing. And at that point, you might as well become a warhammer tuber."

An entity so evil that it creates a moral argument for the use of a Death Star.

You going through basically every evil of the SW universe in chronological order is the best thing ever.

"if it's existence has no meaning or purpose, then it must find ways to entertain itself." Mnggal-Mnggal's philosophy is like a nihilist that turned into a hedonist...

**When you realise Star Wars has cool lore** but is scared to do anything outside of the realm of nostalgia

As much as I love the campy, optimistic swashbuckling stories from the SW universe, there's something about the cosmic horror aspect of the franchise that I find so alluring.

Nihilus, Abeloth, The Yuuzhan-Vong just scratch that itch for me.

Dear Vile Eye, you just made my day.

The sheer depths of the old EU are brimming with fascinating and complex characters that are sadly very little disscussed due to the obscurity of the media they appear in. To hear you are at least interested in covering them made the little kid that saw the Prequel trilogy and fell in love with it EXPLODE with joy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I`m particularlly looking forward to the Vitiate and Yuuzhan Vong videos, but whatever you chose to do in the future, I wish you the best of luck.

Cheers!

Never thought AE would cover Mnggal-Mnggal, of all things. Remember it making the rounds of “Top 5 Scariest Things In Star Wars” lists some years ago.

Star Wars Legends was the closest the franchise ever got to something like Tolkien’s Legendarium or the Cthulhu Mythos, at least in my opinion. While not everything worked, the sheer depth and near limitless possibilities lead to some very interesting stories, concepts, and characters that made the universe feel absolutely massive and kind of scary, like the Yuuzhan Vong, Abeloth, Vitiate, and of course Mnggal-Mnggal. What sucks is that Disney had the chance to actually adapt this already established source material, and yet they decided to throw it into the non-canon dumpster, and created the sequel trilogy, which we all know how that turned out.

this being a bi monthly series would be insane

Years ago, there was a sci-fi book series I read called 'Renegade Legion'. In that universe there was an empire called the Terran Overlord Government that ruled a good portion of the galaxy.
In one of the first books I read, there was a world that rebelled against the TOG. So, the empire sent a fleet of warships to deal with the uprising. They failed to fully defeat the rebels, and were unwilling to commit troops to fighting a protracted battle that might see the rebellion spread off-world.
So, the fleet was ordered to recall all ground troops and begin a 24 hour bombardment from orbit. They bombarded the planet's surface until the skies burned and oceans boiled off. And they kept bombarding.
When they were done, that world's surface was a near-uniform elevation, and there was nothing but molten rock cooling under blackened skies.

I'm of the firm opinion, that THAT is how you deal with Mugg Fallow, or any other world heavily infested by Mnggal-Mnggal; you burn it from orbit. You don't send food down to it in the form of troops, you rain fire on it from above. No need to blow the world apart and risk specks of the entity escaping, just burn the world to cinders.

Mother Abeloth stirs.

Also, recommending the Father of Machines, Yawgmoth.

I'm so happy you've decided to include and start off with Mnggal-Mnggal. I always found it to be one of the freakiest concepts in the SW universe. Almost anything to do with the Unknown Regions is inherently unsettling because of the nature of it being unknown, or at least not well investigated. Being aware that a thing like Mnggal-Mnggal exists is not quite like opening a door, but peeking through a window into a H.P. Lovecraft world. That whatever's there could have the capacity to be so far beyond normal. And the fact alone that the celestials literally walled-off a massive section of the galaxy with black holes, deliberately making it (mostly) inaccessible would have its own astronomical implications.

It almost feels like the idea of going out of bounds in a game, but then the "out of bounds" timer doesn't appear to kill you, so you just keep walking for as long as there's "more game" ahead of you until things start to get weird and you feel like you really shouldn't be here. Except... there's *actually* something there.

Very much excited for this Sith Lord evil series - Vitiate, Bane, Exar Kun, Krayt, Traya, Malgus and Revan are particular interests for me

The Celestials were so afraid of Mnggal-Mnggal and other dark entities they used slaves to construct a galactic barrier. I solely perceived The Father and Daughter as benevolent beings. However, the threat of themselves and all life being devoured by the Mnggal-Mnggal was so great that they would commit to slavery despite being generally kind beings.

Excellent Villain analysis as always .

Villain Profile Suggestions:
1. Frank Underwood/Francis Urquart (House of
Cards)
2. 001 (Squid Game)
3. Petyr Baelish (A Song of Ice and Fire)
4. Frank Gallagher (Shameless US
5. Marty and Wendy Byrde (Ozark)
6. Dudley Smith (L.A Confidential)
7. Lilith (Diablo 4)
8. Idi Amin (Last King of Scotland)
9. Kratos (God of War series)
10. Eric Cartman (South Park)
11. Father (Full Metal Alchemist)
12. The Sons of Anarchy Gang

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the novel "All Tomorrows" but the "Qu" really deserve an "Analyzing Evil" made about them.

I love how Star Wars has some Eldritch beings hidden deep within its mythology.
