Wow there are so many Asians in this country!

The Asian American population has grown a lot lately. Right now, two thirds of all Asians, and 80% of Asian adults are first-generation immigrants. Which means the growth rate for Asian population is increasing fast, and there are some major political and economic consequences.

Now, we should lay the groundwork on what exactly we mean when we refer to Asian Americans. It’s demographic umbrella term for more than 21 million people here in the USA - people originating from 45 Asian-origin groups, speaking over a hundred languages. You can see on this map the area of the world I’ll be referring to when I talk about from which countries Asian Americans are from.

And before we go any further, I must say I’ve done similar book reports on the white, black and hispanic populations as well, so I’m not picking on anyone. Almost all the data I’ll present is factual. There are very few personal opinions to be presented.

So we have a lot to get to, and a lot of ground to cover. Let's begin our analysis and insight into the most Asian Cities in the United States.

As an Asian American, I really appreciate your report - Got +++A from me! I was refugee a couple of decades ago; came here with no English and penniless. Like most Asian refugees, we are good and kind hearted people; work hard to reach the American dreams and very proud of it 🙏
Used to think we are blesses for this land of opportunity, but not lately because of the despicable hate acts against Asian Americans. Regardless, thank you for your perspective of Asian Americans; you hit the bull’s eye! 👍🏼
God Bless 🙏

Asian neighborhoods are among the safest and most peaceful places to live in the USA. Anyone can feel safe walking around an Asian neighborhood 24 hours a day. I love Asian culture and the way they carry themselves. The USA is very blessed to have Asian communities in the country. ✌️

A friend of mine who is of Chinese decent immigrated into this country in 1996. She had nothing when she moved here and spoke little to no English, started off selling hot dogs at flea markets. Now she has 3 houses and 3 new cars, have put her son through private school and has her own business. She had worked 7 days a week in her restaurant and only recently decided to take one day off per week. I admire her audacity for taking risks and for her hard work. The moral of my sharing is, put in the time and work to earn what you have. Don't steal, don't rob. Either way, you'll be putting in time. If you are a career criminal, you'll pay your time in a prison eventually....your career will catch up with you. So do the right thing and earn what you have. Don't be envious of others. Your rewards will come in due time.

Being a black man, I work for a Asian company, , been there for 23 years, I walk by them daily, they are very focused for sure, they don't seem threatening to me, but from what I've noticed, they put in the time and hard work, soooo if u plant a harvest, eventually in due season, it pays off, for me, I worked my butt off, and now I'm reaping the God!!!, but my gosh it was a struggle 😫, , but I kept at it, so happy I did., so good on them!! 👏👌, from what I see they earn everything they have!!!,

As a blk guy who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, I find it more comforting being around asian people then many other blks, latinos and whites. In my experience, asian people have been some of the nicest people I've met.

Much gratitude to the Asians and Asian-Americans in health care who have been on the front lines of the pandemic, saving the lives of others from all backgrounds.

All my Asian neighbors and friends are some of the kindest most generous and hard working people I know. They value family above all else. That sounds infinitely better than the hood life taking over.

Great report! My wife and I live in Northern Virginia and Arlington County accepted a lot of Southeast Asian refugees after the Vietnam War. As a result of this, the crime rate went down and the quality of education improved greatly. My wife and I have many Southeast Asian friends; as you say they value family, education and hard work, Southeast Asians are smart, friendly, helpful and kind! They are excellent Americans.

I hope this growing trend with the Asian population does grow. They are very respectful, smart, and they have lots of common sense and decency. It's time they start getting their recognition. I have respect for Asian people. If anything I would rather live in a community where there are lots of Asians. 👍🏻👍🏻

Like most early Asian immigrants here, my family arrived in 1981 with just the clothes on their backs, penniless, and without speaking a lick of English. I'm not even going to talk about the discrimination and obstacles...just our positive tenacity to achieve the American dream. Asians started on the bottom and now we're here. God Bless America! This is our home too.

In Hawaii, mostly asians get along, especially in my neighborhood in Kapolei, Thais, Filipinos, Vietnamese and Chinese are very friendly towards each other. We might be different but that "general" Asian culture is what ties us most.

I am Asian specifically Chinese, both my children served in the military, my son earned his degree in computer science and network systems and is working in the field. My daughter is married. Her husband is in Cyber security. Asians do excel high tech and academic fields. I earned my degree in elementary and secondary education. Asians believe in hard work and academic excellence as this video so eloquently expressed.

I came to this country from China as a kid in 1949 at age 13. Throughout my 74 years in the U.S. I have met so many Americans who treated me well and helped me in countless ways, without any racial prejudice. Now all my children and grandchildren are deeply imbedded in the American culture and are part of America. Just a few words of appreciation.

This really enhanced my education of Asian Americans. Having lived in Korea, Japan and Philippines when I was in the military. Also was blessed to live in the great state of Hawaii too. My overseas background is about over 18 years of being in Asia. Or about half my adult life. Recently last year, finding out on DNA Ancestry that a percentage of my ancestors are of South East Asian heritage. I often wondered why I felt as though I was part of Philippines, and felt like I have history there. I loved that military assignment at Clark Air Base, Philippines, which ended one (1) month before Mount Pinatubo volcano explosion as the best Air Force Base I worked at. I wish they had DNA back then when I was station there. I am glad my opportunity for diversity really assisted my life, sincerely thank you for this detailed article of great interest. Married a sweet Filipina in HK 30 years ago... We've worked hard, and had a good life, and she's admired by our many friends and co-workers... Life only gives you back the sweat equity you put into it.... a lot of our home-grown Americans have forgotten this...

I live 20 mins away from Bellevue. The Asian presence is very strong here. Lots of Indian/Chinese tech workers live here. I see lots of Asian restaurants in this city. I predict that the city will become majority Asian very soon.

The best people to have in any country. They contribute in every part of the community and society and help bring in more tax money to every country. Best people to learn from, especially those who are struggling in life.
