I love how forshadowing this scene is. Anikin, palpatine, a burning body and the same track used when he went into his suit.

It's almost like a cruel joke that Palpatine went to his funeral.

That shot of Palpatine at the very end. Just amazing. The Devil himself right there before you.

Anakin was staring at his future when he stared at Qui Gon being burned.

0:58. The only 2 people truly standing in the way of Palpatine getting to Anakin…..Obi-Wan and Padme……

Obi-Wan: see that burning corpse, young Anakin? That's gonna be you someday.

Damn, Jake Loyd acting here is amazing. You can feel the pain, sadness of a child that just tought he found a father figure just to watch him die the next day

After Yoda and windu discuss about Maul's "death" and wonder if the master or the apprentice is killed, the music gets lower camera pans onto palpatine.

When Obi-wan said: "You will be a Jedi" it is the same music when Darth Vader was born in RotS. Chills

Such a beautiful scene. Wish people weren’t so focused on Jar Jar and CGI so they could see how brilliant this movie really is. Gave me f*cking chills.

That last shot is epic. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme and of course, Palpatine. Four characters who would change the galaxy forever. If only they knew what was coming. If only...

I wonder how much Palpatine had the urge to try and claim credit to Yoda and Windu

Little does Palpatine know that the seeds of his destruction were planted with Qui Gon's death! The first Jedi in millenia to become an immortal force ghost and the one to guide Obi Wan and Yoda through the Dark TImes, bringing about the destruction of the Sith through the actions of Luke and a redeemed Anakin Skywalker!

That scene at 1:04 is really clever. We are only shown one side of Palpatine's face. This actually hides his true identity and the mourners including Kenobi, Anakin, Yoda, Widu and Padme are oblivious they are joined by the Sith lord Darth Sidious himself.

I honestly love the way Palpatine acts in this scene. Both disappointment as his apprentice failed on defeating Obi Wan and the fear as moments before he killed Plagueis and if he discovered immortality and could return to take revenge on him.

This was the beginning of Anakin’s downfall. With the death of Qui-Gon, Anakin lost the only Jedi who could rightfully teach and mentor Anakin. Obi-Wan is a decent teacher but he only trained Anakin because his master told him too and acted more as a brother to Anakin than anything else. What Anakin needed was a father figure to guide him being Qui-Gon

I like how the music in this scene is the same one used in the first time we saw Anakin in Darth Vader's suit; it perfectly alludes to the fact that Qui-Gon's death essentially doomed Anakin into falling to the dark side.

You see... Qui-Gon Jinn was the ideal, if not the *perfect* paternal figure for young Anakin, but with him gone, Anakin gets easily befriended by Palpatine, allowing the manipulative Sith lord to become the father figure that Qui-Gon never became.

I didn’t even realize it slowly panned towards Palaptine after Mace said “But which was destroyed? The master or the apprentice?”

Amazing how someone so sinister came from a planet so peaceful and beautiful.
