Billions | Next on Episode 8 | Season 2

Axe faces opposition investigating Sandicot. Chuck digs up dirt on a rival. Starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti.

In Season 2 of Billions, Bobby 'Axe' Axelrod (Damian Lewis) uses his considerable resources to exact revenge on U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti). Axe's move sends Chuck reeling as he finds himself under investigation, forced to scramble to hang on to his office and his family.

This season is so much better than the first. It was really interesting seeing Axe meet with Boyd again in jail. However, I thought the AG instructed Chuck to offer a deal that didn't involve jail time like Boyd's lawyer requested. Boyd still hasn't told Axe that it was Chuck's father (his source) who told him his investigation was being dropped before Chuck lured, filmed, recorded and arrested him. Looks like Axe will find out that it was also Rhodes father who screwed him and will seek revenge by ending Chuck's career and his political aspirations. Wendy hooking up with James Wolk's character and Laura's monologue at the end of the last episode were two really good twists to add to the show. Who knew Laura had thicker skin than Axe and everyone that works for him. And that Judge that Chuck and Lonny arrested for intentionally sentencing criminals from poor neighbourhoods to private prisons he was secretly investing in reappears - and if I recall he told Chuck at the time he will make him pay.

if this show can holdout 5 seasons without killing one person,   it will be the largest US tv series ever....a US show without bloodshed....pure brain works.

Billions and House of Cards would make for a good shared universe, I think. Meditate on that for a moment. The only guy who rivals Axe is the legendary sociopath himself, Frank Underwood. They both represent the qualities intrinsic to my favourite Super-Villain, Lex Luthor. Coincidentally, one man (Spacey) played him in a movie and the other (Lewis) SHOULD have played him in the following movie.

if wendy won't allow axe to access her skills as a sounding board, then what's the use of having her in the company? might as well clear it out with his wife or even the 'ít'
