Concerns around RCMP potential purchase of Sig P320 pistol

One gun expert is voicing his concerns about the RCMP’s possible acquisition of the Sig Sauer P320 pistol, which he says has a dismal safety record in the United States. Alex Karpa reports.

THE FACT: I'm pro police for the most part.
THE FACT: Handguns, Rifles and shotguns are NOW basically BANNED in CANADA for LEGAL CANADIAN FIREARM HOLDERS AND LICENSEE'S.
THE QUESTION: "SINCE FIREARMS ARE BANNED FOR ALL LEGAL CANADIAN FIREARM HOLDERS AND LICENSEE'S that were LYINGLY said CAUSED the CRIMES, HOW IS IT NOW AFTER ALL THAT BAN THERE STILL NEEDS to be UPGARDES to the police force firearms?", and ALL the RECENT ATTACKS WERE CARRIED out by ILLEGALLY obtained HANDGUNS, NOT LEGAL HANDGUNS, SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLES and SHOTGUNS, shouldn't we ALL ALREADY be SAFE, but NO, these new AMENDMENTS do NOT make ANYONE SAFER, it ONLY PROTECTS CRIMINALS and TARGETS LEGAL CANADIAN FIREARM HOLDERS AND LICENSEE'S.
CLEARLY THIS BILL C-21 and ALL AMENDMENTS NEED to be SCRAPPED, because it is currently SHOWING THAT it does NOTHING to STOP CRIMINALS, nor STOP CRIME.

it's alright - just carry it without a round in chamber, and trigger lock the pistol in holster. Keep ammunition separate from it, so it won't cause any harm if the gun has a mind of its own.

Wow you found an expert who has no idea what he’s talking about.

The old p320 had a large trigger and when the pistol was dropped the weight of the trigger combined with the momentum of the pistol produced enough energy that the trigger could actually pull itself.

The new p320 triggers are significantly thinner and lighter. If the pistol is dropped the combination of momentum and trigger weight can’t produce enough energy for the trigger to pull itself.

The new p320 is perfectly safe.

Then give them some good ol reliable glocks. There's a reason they're the pretty much the most popular handgun for law enforcement in North America.
