As a lifelong fan of Highlander I am really looking forward to seeing Henry Cavill take on such an iconic character 👌🏻
I'd like to see it as a prequel, telling the story of hiw the immortals were created.

A remake of the Highlander was initially sacrilege to me. But casting Henry Cavill was possibly the best choice they could have made. Genuinely excited to see it now. Henry is that incredibly rare combination of an actual movie star and si/fi fantasy nerd who truly loves these books and stories.

FINALLY god damnit... a remake I really really wanna see Henry Cavil is the best. The Highlander TV series, movie.. anything to do with it was fantastic.

i never thought there shoulda been a Highlander sequel and especially not a tv series, it shoulda been a one and done imo, that being said Henry Cavill would be worth watching in this role as he brings a lot of gravitas and concience to each role he picks up and seems to be one of the few actors in the industry that cares for their roles and the source materials behind them, plus he definitely knows how to swing a sword lol

Instead of remaking Highlander… they should be making prequels… so much untapped lore in the past… that said, I believe this could be awesome…. But it also seems like holy ground.

With basically no serious competition facing it at the box office in November, I actually think it was a mistake for Warner Bros. to push back Dune. People will be starved for new content by then, and I think it would have killed at the box office.

I’m torn. I’m definitely fed up with reboots and remakes, but I also think Henry Cavill is being given a raw deal by Hollywood. If he has been born 10 to 15 years earlier, he’d be in everything. As it is, however, it’s almost as if Hollywood actively hates him when there is no discernible reason other than they don’t like that he is of the opinion that if you adapt something, you should be faithful to the lore so as to respect the original work while also maintaining the connection with the fan base that made the IP popular in the first place. And he has a point! When you purchase the rights to an IP, you’re also paying to access that fan base for guaranteed views and word of mouth advertising. Why, then, do they so often seem to be actively trying to chase off those potential customers?

It would be interesting to see Henry Cavil fill in the shoes of Christopher Lambert and I would love to see how Ducan McCloud's Highlander and Highlander the Raven would fit into this new reboot to because when I first watched the movies and the series with Adrian Paul and Elizabeth Gracen, I always thought it felt off a bit on how both series didn't connect together somehow with the movies and Lambert only came on the series once and that was only the first 2 episodes and that was it and then it felt like he didn't exist at all, where was Conner when Duncan lost Tes, where was Conner when Duncan ended up killing Richie, they need to make them connect together if they are going to reboot the movies and maybe even the series.

Please, just leave Highlander alone. The Gathering is not motive for a series of future movies. It is the FINALE, that defines who will be the ONE, and the PRIZE. If it is a prequel that leads to the Gathering, then fine, I could play along.

Highlander had a great movie concept and a satisfying end. Then every subsequent Highlander series/ movie corrupted the idea and made the original feel illogical for me. I hope they get that sorted.
