Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

The reunion made me tear up so much and cry when Kara got out of the car and hugged Bec so hard and her little gallop. You can totally tell they’re bffs. Same with Eamon and Nate but to finally see them reunite and to know Bec is doing so much better and is so inspirational totally melts my heart and they’re dog Oso/Bear being so excited and seemingly giving a group hug put the cherry on top ❤

You guys inspired me to go for 100 countries when it wasn't really on my radar about 3-4 years ago. (I thought 75 might be doable eventually and I was at around 43 countries - which had taken me over 50 years to hit at that point.) I travelled pretty much throughout COVID and have spent the last 14 months travelling non-stop. Currently I am in Jordan, country #81 and will hit Chile, country #100 on Dec. 28th. Everything between now and then is already booked, so unless I die, it is HAPPENING. I can't believe it - and I am seriously grateful I ran across your channel almost 4 years ago. Oh, and before that, I also had a cancer battle. Actually it took over 4 years to defeat that MoFo. I am now 58 and am the healthiest and happiest in years. Just wanted to let you know the part you guys played in that. Thanks for the motivation to achieve a goal I thought was impossible. Best of luck on your future travels!! BTW, at the end, you are travelling through the part of Canada I grew up in. How cool is that?!

I have you and this channel to thank for posting Nate’s skin cancer story, after I watched it I realized the “weird scab” on my head was not healing and went to the dermatologist. I am now 2 weeks post-op on having that area of skin cancer removed… Thank You so much for not only the great travel content and fun adventures you post but for showing the real life struggles and stories!!! I love how Kara and Nate sticked with their word and promise, and actually made the trip to Canada this time, though it was later than what they originally planned. I've been following Eamon and Bec for awhile, and what they've gone through is definitely something no one would have had to go through. I'm so glad the reunion finally happened and you guys were able to go and joyfully celebrate a journey accomplished with them, even though it was riddled with hopelessness, depression, "why this to me?", and a bunch of emotions on the rollercoaster. Thank you Kara and Nate for being the real and authentic couple you have been in the past and will always continue to be such, and for radiating confidence, optimism, positivity, and joy to others! I am sorry about your loss Nate. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Kara, and your family. May God Bless your Grandmother and You and Kara and Your Family. My 104 year old Great-grandmother passed away this past January and my Mom 30 years ago on October 17th of this year. May God bless you and Kara with Great travels and blessed friends and family!!
