20 Actor Audition Tapes From Before They Were Famous

Hey TheThings Fans, we’re back with another video today talking all about some of our favourite stars audition tapes from before they got famous! From the child stars of Disney yesterday, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato to the child stars of today, the cast of Stranger things, to the child stars of our favourite superhero movies, there’s a ton of great audition tapes from before they became famous! It can be incredibly hard to cast a movie. There were forty thousand submissions for the role of Harry Potter! And it can be incredibly hard to land a role sometimes too. Tom Holland landed his standing backflip and the role of Peter Parker in his audition! With Robert Downy Junior going up against Keanu Reeves and Brad Pitt and ultimately all three of them not landing the role due to not having “the right look.” So many fantastic actors auditioned for the role of Allie in the notebook from Jennifer Lawrence to Britney Spears! But in the end, there can only be one, and up-and-coming Canadian actor Rachel McAdams took the cake. Scarlett Johanson lost out on her Jumanji audition to Kirsten Dunst. And Jason Momoa and Dacre Montgomery made some incredibly bold moves to secure their roles in the hottest TV shows of this generation. Another Game of Thrones Star, Emilia Clarke lost out on a role to Sarah Gadon. Jennifer Lawrence lost out on even more roles from Twilight to Alice in Wonderland, and we already mentioned the Notebook! The hustle is real in the acting world. And there’s more audition tapes from Rose Byrne, Daisy Ridley, Matthew McConaughey, Megan Fox and Jim Carey. You’re never safe even if you’re an incredibly talented actor!

Millions of people want to be actors in the World, . There are only enough jobs for a tiny fraction of them.

That means it takes a lot to even be considered for one of those jobs and It takes a lot of time and effort to build professional-level acting and audition skills.
Most people find they don’t actually want to do the work required to have a career as an actor - and that’s ok.

But there are no shortcuts.

Tom is a great Spider-Man, but I find it very hard to believe that none of the other boys exhibited the characteristics that it was claimed made him so different. I would bet there are at least five other boys who we would be listening to in interviews now if they had been chosen instead.

I’m surprised they never showed Nicholas Hamilton’s audition for Henry’s Bowers cuz he said it was embarrassing cuz he was jet lagged and I wanna see it ngl and I also love drama so I wanna be an actor..
