Today we deep dive into Hybrid Reverb. This is one of my favorite new features of Ableton Live 11 and so I wanted to explore, exploit and educate as per usual. Enjoy!

Every time you're like "hey, this might be a cool idea" and then it turns out extremely cool and you clearly cannot contain the smile. Looks like so much fun!

Dude, I don't know how you figure all of these crazy tricks out. Absolutely insane. The more I watch your stuff, the more I think of Ableton as its own instrument. A month ago, I couldn't think of too many great uses for resampling other than saving some processing power or condensing tracks. Today, watching your video I immediately thought "gotta resample that drum drone sound" right as you said it. It's been incredibly helpful to watch your tutorials. Thanks dude. Also I love that "meow" IR. hahaha. Need to set up my cat crying on my Helix too and see what happens.

Used it slightly but not like this, now I am super inspired. You know a tutorial is good when it makes you laugh out loud with excitement. I would love to see more dnb from you. That bass was awesome.

It's crazy how all these plugins sucks you in with flashy guis and whatnot. Right there, from the getgo, in Ableton you got these monsters that can do wonders. Thank you for showcasing a stockplug so well!

Putting reverse samples is a great trick in the hybrid reverb. Reversed reverb or delay tails. Reversed trash+ott artifacts etc.

Wow thanks for showing so many applications of Hybrid Reverb. I've definitely been sleeping on this plugin. I'd love to see more videos about some of the newer effect additions in Ableton and ways to get creative with them!

Thank you. I've been using the hybrid reverb just in default lol sounds great still...That's also the first time I've seen the envelope follower before, what a great little trick. I love Ableton, anything is possible!

Very cool. I'm a newbie to the Ableton world. Everyday I discover something new. It's like opening up a new part of my brain. And today Slynk just blew a little piece of it. w-o-w !

Cool video. I stopped halfway through to get some IRs of the rooms of my dojo with my small recorder. It's not as perfect as the frequency sweep, but a simple dirac gives satisfying results too. I also finally learned how to deal with the L+R IRs I found on internet thanks to your videos (that was easy...)

Damn, FL needs this. We obviously have convolution and algorithmic reverb, but I have not seen any options to swap out the algorithm. If we wanted to do even half the stuff you did in this video, we'd have to rig up an entire patcher to do so :c
Still though, messing with convolution reverb is SO damn fun. You can easily lose hours just fiddling with different sounds and see how they react :D
