To think Jackman could have made 10 Kate and Leopold sequels by now!

I enjoyed this movie, but that might be because Hugh Jackman does a really fucking good job

One of the versions of the Orpheus story is about him having to lead her out of the Underworld without looking back to see if she’s there, but he turns around towards the end because he thinks he’s being tricked and loses her again.

Towards the end of the movie when he sees she was actually at his place and left the earring behind I felt like it was meant to mirror that moment. If he hadn’t have been so busy looking back in the machine, maybe he would have answered the door and they would have been reunited.

Or maybe I’m just reading into it too much 😂

This ending is what we call grey ending, it is actually tragic ending but Jackman's character got away from reality and enter the memory machine to reunite with his lover although not real. btw, for me the best happy ending movie is Robin hood prince of thieves and Indiana jones and the kingdom of crystall skull

The movie was beautiful and impressive, and it had some really interesting ideas, however, I feel that the world building elements of this film; the rising waters and the wars everyone talks about, and the struggles people went through past tense, would have been a much better aspect to present instead of this noir/romance rehash of China Town/Inception crossover. Also I don't know how anyone else felt about the dialogue but to me it was weird...like it didn't feel like humans talking, instead it felt like people speaking tediously. Almost poetically. Perhaps because we are viewing things from his memories and therefore everything feels "artificial" but it made it all feel very clunky and it was difficult for me to become invested.

The biggest clue we were just watching his memories all along when he keeps seeing Mae in the water cause he knows she dies in the water after overdosing. He gets to see her in the current state of what he thinks she is after death. Just floating in the water. And when he tries to grab her she just disappears 🥲

This was one of the best bad written movies like even tho you dont really know whats going on in some parts its still really engaging

I love the movie. The acting is incredible and just hearing Hugh Jackman's voice gives me chills. I think it would have been better if Lisa Joy wouldn't have had to cut quite a bit from the film to make it fit for Warner and HBO, this is why people notice loose ends and maybe some unlogical twists. I hope there'll be a Director's Cut on a DVD so we can see it all as it was intended to be by Lisa Joy.

You videos are addictive. You break these stories down so well it's almost like watching the actual program, not watching someone describe the program. You have some amazing talent! I'm still waiting to see if they re-film the ending of GOT to match your re-write :D :D

I really enjoyed the movie and it had some cool twists and quality acting. Rebecca Ferguson is incredibly hot which makes it even better.

This movie was actually really solid. People get mad at it for being predictable, but a lot of movies are nowadays. This movie still paid off all of its setups, and what sold me was the worldbuilding/concept over the story. Still a decent movie

How did Nick survive in the tank? What did he do for nourishment? How did he keep from floating in his own waste?
