I was about to make a statement of how stupid it was to make a weird wing like that to reduce drag and then slap static landing gears underneath it... I then heared that is was never meant to go supersonic and I was like: "Well that explains why, yet makes the whole concept of the AD-1 sound weird again"

I think they want to get back on that idea as the main problem at that time was that computer systems needed to stabilize and help flying the plane did not exist at that point.

It would probably work a lot better now with today's fly-by-wire technology, you should try adding that. This is exactly what I've always loved about X-Plane, being able to experiment with the different shapes. That's why it's called X-Plane.
