Yan can cook was the the OG of cooking shows growing up. Love him.

Ditto on Yan Can Cook! THAT show is WHY I ultimately got into the industry. You, Alton Brown, and Tony Bourdain is why I stayed.

I got to meet Chef Yan a couple times, and he even signed my culinary school ID card that I have to this day. Signed literally 60 seconds after doing his super fast whole chicken breakdown demo.

I also had an amazing chef instructor who he worked with for years. Chef Rhoda Yee. Chef Yee and Chef Yan were instrumental in teaching me the history within asian cuisines that I use to influence what I do to this day.

That is pretty horrible for the 'hospitality' industry, expecting someone to vacate their room immediately with no notice. Unacceptable I would say.

Love Chicago, I taught stats/quality systems to management, downtown Chicago for years (people came to the classes from all over, not just Chicago). I feel bad for the all the business that are trapped down town or have left. Thank you for supporting them to just keep the doors open. Sucks the quality is not good. Excellence work keep up the effort!

I was to stay at a hotel for a week, that after an 8 hour flight at check in, they insisted on holding not just a $100/night deposit, but the full stay fee up front as a "hold". Almost $4000 on a credit card that I had to have to stay initially when I planned to pay via a business draft (I hate credit cards) at check-out. It wasn't even a 4 star hotel.

No wonder they still had a ton of rooms left.

A regional manager policy with no way to escalate the issue because they were at home enjoying their ridiculous policy power trip. I ended up going elsewhere.

dude there's the same problem at my local big box grocery store. only the core management seems to be left, and shelves are half barren. what really bugs me is that people think it's over and aren't wearing masks. good job, people, keep spreading it and killing jobs. I wear one to protect myself and what if I got it? Do I want to spread it to them? NO. ups on upping yan. he does the chicken dance like no other! keep posting, I'll keep watching.

Proper wages! They already get paid what they are worth. If you have no skills then you get low wages. Any job where you can master it in a month is not a "skilled" position. People with a college degree deserve high wages (except for social sxiences majors, they should get floor sweeper wages).
