If you recently over toned your hair, DONT WORRY! You can fix it at home for under $20!
Recently I left toner (purple shampoo) on my hair for WAY too long after dying it blonde. The toner stuck to my hair and refused to wash out even after trying for DAYS. In this video I try multiple methods to get the toner out, and one finally worked! Watch the video to see what did and didn't work, or skip ahead to see the products used to fully get that blue out of my hair!
Hope you guys find this helpful!!

I over toned my hair before more than once and have always used the lemon Axion dish soap. I put it in my hair while dry then add a little water and lather it up and repeat twice, always works and definetly an inexpensive fix. Thats an under $4 fix👍👍 hope it helps you like it has always helped me😊

What worked 4 me (same day, back-to-back): 💃🏿💃🏿
1. Dawn soap + lemon juice wash. Rinse.
2. Straight Lemon Juice sprayed bottled onto hair, blow dryed highheat to activate. X2
3. Baking soda wash. Rinse.
4. Vinegar (straight) wash. Rinse. Condition.
Toner came completely out!
BONUS: Soft silky hair, and super soft hands!!

I have been freakin out the past few hours trying to find a fix without having to spend $$ on an expensive salon fix as a high risk during the Covid pandemic!!! Your video is my life saver and I appreciate it so much 😘

Thank you so much for posting this video. I just did the same thing by using purple shampoo right after bleaching and left it on to long. I had the same blue streaks as you. You're a life saver and a sweetheart.

Thank you!!! The bleach bath worked! I had purple splotches from a purple mask after bleaching. 🤦🏼‍♀️ All better now after just a few minutes of the bleach bath on those sections. Thank you for showing us all the products! I found them at Sally’s. What a lifesaver 🙏🏻

I am so grateful for this video!!! My hair literally looks just like yours did at the start! Horrible crown of violet/blue (from me leaving purple shampoo on to tone bleach/yellow wayyyy too long 5+ hours lol) anyways tried dawn soap/lemonjuice/etc and this bleach regimine is legit the only thing that worked!! Thank u girl!

Next time use a bleach and 20 or 30 developer if you have healthy hair. My hair absorbs any of these toners with gray, purple or blue. When I used the T18 that everyone suggests to tone my yellow brassy hair, it absorbed all the gray in the toner and my hair turned all extremely dark gray! I did the same as you but used a higher developer. Had to do it twice so next time I will try the 10 volume to see if that is better ! Your hair looks awesome!

I know that in desperation we will try anything to get our hair to look right so I don't blame you for tryig that, but I really can't imagine who came up with such a senseless "solution". It doesn't make ANY sense to mix 2 types of hydrogen peroxide (the active ingredient in cream developers IS hydrogen peroxide...)! When mixing 10V you're just diluting the developer strength because the one from the drugstore is 3% which equals 10V. Besides, that can further damage bleached hair which is always inevitably damaged at least to some extent.

Here's something that will actually leave your hair better: An olive oil treatment with heat (at least 20 min.) done on dry hair and then adding undiluted shampoo directly to the hair working it out well (color should bleed into the shampoo at this point) before rinsing with warm water, and you can repeat as many times as needed (like in the case of wanting to remove a whole headful of "novelty" colors. I also found that cholesterol treatments, or any "mask" that contains mineral oil high on the list of ingredients (the Dollar Tree has one or two) will fade out any hair color pretty fast also leaving your hair in much better condition than it was.

Hidrogen peroxide and developer are the same thing ☺ the only difference is the concentration and the consistency :) Hidrogen peroxide is 3% "developer" and it's liquid coz can be used for many things like desinfecting and so on...just for your info, and thank you for the video! I have to try the bleach..or 3 lemon plus conditioner thing

Thanks very much for posting. Especially the part about, mix it so it is consistent enough to stick to the brush but not runny. And the addition of shampoo and the timing. Another gal did same thing posted on YT and left it on 15 minutes. My hair was white/grey streaks (balayage) still trying to get to one tone ash blonde similar to yours...at the moment mine is more grey/white now still streaking after leaving purple shampoo on too long. It's a relief to know how to get rid of it without going to a salon, I almost starting looking for a salon.
