Hey Patrick, can you post something about Stoke's and Divergence Theorem? I think it's the only Calc III topics you haven't done yet. My engineering professor says that we will be using a lot of that for this course.

I used fractional exponents and raise the power to the reciprocal to get rid of the exponent, and got y and x = 4 to the power of 3/2, which is 8. By this approach, how would I know to take the positive and negative solution, if all i get is 4 to the power of 3/2, and nothing else for the value of y (and ultimately x since y=x)?

I am not taking a math course this semester. I am finishing my associates and then starting my bachelors in the fall. I want I be a math professor for a 4 year college.
