Hi Jay. I've often wondered, since Kyanite, Andalusite, and Sillimanite are trimorphs of one another, could they be put into the appropriate lab conditions to inter-convert from one form to another? Also, is Riesling Beryl with a lime hue, from Brazil considered Heliodor or Golden Beryl? Thanks and keep up the amazing work!

Your website is all sorts of messed up. The source code is visible all over the home page.

*RE: TRIMORPHS OF ANDALUSITE, SILLIMANITE AND KYANITE...* More to the point, each has specific tendancies for pseudomorphisms such as corundum after kyanite with various pseudomorphed minerals INCLUDED in said kyanite pseuomorph resulting in for example a sapphire encrusted with relatively giant crystals of kyanite after muscovite with said encruststion often partially eroded and due to this "new" compound hardness state having a kyanite-ish highly directionally grained yet extremely hard corundum core exposed. Lol, wanna buy one? (yes, i have cut some and yes, they have incredible asterism and yes, they do range into the kg scale on occaision.) i have a name for them as they are as yet undescribed. the muscovite reference is just a "for instance". We have identified several different inclusions in the pseudo(para? peri?) morphs which may possibly be pseudomorphs themselves. It gets extremely chemically, molecularly and mineralogically complex to say the least, full disclosure. We are working on a full analyis but such things take time n money.
