We had 3 homes when we divorced earlier this year. She got 2 of them. Because the assets I received (house+retirement) were worth more than the assets she received, I am paying her back $235k over 10 years. The most expensive house we owned (the one I received) cost us $255k. During the marriage she worked where and when she wanted to and her income went to her spending money. Mine paid the bills. Oh, and she cheated and "left the marriage" (her words) without actually filing for divorce. I had to file to remove the leech from me and lose half of everything. Don't get married my brothers. At the very least get a good prenup.
