Most men in Finland become ice hockey know-it-alls around this time of year and you can spot Leijonat-shirts also at workplaces that don't even show the game!
That is how you know the World Championships are on and we are ready to win! Let's make some room on the square for our victory celebration!!!
Congratulations Leijonat (nickname for Finland’s ice hockey team) for conquering one of our arch-nemesis, Canada! What a great way to start off the 2019 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. While some probably already took to the square, let’s save some energy until we beat some of the other hard names in the game first, ok?
You notice I use the word we? It is very deliberate. But you might wonder if I’m part of the team in any way… lol… Well actually I am, we all are, as emotional and mental support. We Finns take lot’s of pride in our teams winning. But don’t ask how we feel, or who failed if we loose some important tournaments… ;-)
Have you ever taken to the (markets), and if yes, the for what reason?
Will you celebrate with us when we win the World Championships may 26th?
