Hyelec MS6252A Digital Anemometer (Wind Meter) REVIEW

This is a review of Hyelec Digital Wind Meter

- Can measure Air volume & Velocity.
- You can switch among a bunch of different unit of measurement & can hold reading or keep min/max.
- The white backlit LCD is very nice making it easy to read in dim condition.
- It takes a 9V battery which is included.
- Measurement seems to be on par when comparing to weather for cast in an area and using iphone app.
- One thing I notice is that inside carrying case you might accidently turn it on. Make sure you leave the auto shut off features on (check user manual for setting)

Overall a very nice tool and I used it a lot to check wind condition prior to flying my quadcopter.

I am trying to guage at what windspeed an unsesecured average fabric hat would blow off.


Or at which windspeed a liter cube (1 kilo) of water on the flat level would move?  Or half a kilo or a pound? IE. Is a Hurricane category 1 enough to drive a kilo water cube?  Or to cause the cube to roll?

@1:42 the Area mode appears to allow you to set the size of the area you're testing, in order to calculate Cubic Feet per Minute (or cubic meters).  Otherwise, all you're testing is airspeed.

Hi Sir, just a question. What wuoud you prefer to work accurately with? The Mastech MS6252A or Krestel 2000 Wind Pocket Wind and Temperature Meter. The Mastech device is almost 60% cheaper than Krestel 2000. By the way, I'm an A/C technician.
