Where on earth do they find these players who have ZERO self-awareness and emotional intelligence (like TK and Andy)? On one hand, they make for chaotic gameplay, which can be fun to watch in small doses. But I like my Survivor players self-aware and strategic and focused on the long game, so it’s hard to root for these chaos agents, even if they might be ultimately good people underneath it all. So glad that you’re covering Survivor! Your recaps are the best.

Since Gabe told Caroline about the idol to gain trust, he burned the idol to get a potential target off his back.
Pregame he said he wants to play like Russel Hantz, Gabe plans to find the idol again.

Kay! What is up with people who immediately must share a secret to their "ride or die".... Who they've known for all of 3 days, or whatever. This Survivor trope of being completely unable to keep a secret! Why do people think sharing a secret makes you trustworthy?

Fiji being used as the island setting for the show over and over again for 15 consecutive seasons since the MvsGX season in 2016 is probably one of the reasons why idol hunting is becoming simpler now... well, somewhat. You see the alumni comparing notes on social media regarding the island landmarks, where they go poop etc.

Why do people automatically assume that someone is shady because they got caught looking for an idol? Isn't everyone looking for an idol? Isn't it like required survivor activity now? But oh my god, we got to vote her out! She was looking for an idol!

In hindsight it was a good idea for Andy to leave the beware advantage. They are on him so hard and now the person who jumped thru all the hoops wants to play it on Andy. Idols are cursed. Never used right (btw, what is right, )
