Benefits of a Positraction

A positraction or limited slip differential transmits equal torque to both wheels when driving straight. However, when one wheel spins due to loss of traction, a patch of ice, mud, too much throttle, etc., the unit automatically provides more torque to the wheel that has traction. Recommended for daily driving, works well in ice, rain, mud and snow.

I had an 84' Camaro basket case that i put together with a Goodwrench 350 and a random 700r4 from the junkyard. I installed a duragrip with 4:10 gears and just beat the piss out of this car with my friends. Nothing ever broke. I put a Yukon diff in my 85 c10 recently. I'm probably close to the 500 mile break in period and recently I started getting a little coasting noise. After a 15 minute drive the diff is warm but not hot. Should I do another gear tooth pattern check?

this is TOTAL BULL. "rain an snow" BULL. the duragrip works on dry conditions. and not all duragrips can get preload springs that are stiffer. my toyota cant go over a simple mud hump because of my duragrip being no different than open. one tire is all I get. I HATE to see people advocate these to others. they are SHIT for offroad. buy a auto locker or something thats an actual locker.
