Today is Amazon Prime Day, a sales event created by the internet retail giant to rival Black Friday. It’s usually in July, but was moved due to the pandemic. However, competitors aren’t letting Amazon get away with capturing the entire shopping cohort. Brands like Macy’s, Best Buy, Target and Walmart have stepped in to offer deals on Tuesday and Wednesday in hopes that they can sap some of the shopping frenzy created by Amazon. Smaller retailers are also getting in on the discounts. #InsideEdition

That Toshiba TV was never $449.99. It’s regular price was $379.99, which was reduced to $329.99 in June and July, and it even went on sale for $289.99 in August. Amazon is marking items up and then putting them on sale. Don’t fall for the scam.
