Ok... I'm sad now.. had no idea my shutter mechanism trembled like that...  just when I was feeling good about my gear...

I wish we consummers could see other camera's shutters (like the D7100, D800) in action in slow motion.

Cool, filmed with a Nikon 1 V2, I'm starting to like the 1-series...

I did this with the D800 (bounces much more)
Nikon D800 shutter at 1/800

and D3s (about the same as d4)
Nikon D3S shutter at 1/800
and D7100 (hardly at all)
Nikon D7100 shutter at 1/800

This is really bad presentation. If you have two footages lined up against each other, why don't you start at the same time with the same mirror position? Since 10 fps and 11 fps are alike, there is no way to compare the two footage when you randomly put the two clips together. I cannot tell at all how the D4s has any improvement (including frame rate) over the D4 -- it appears that the advertisement intentionally obscures the point. Less blackout? I cannot tell unless I download this clip and manipulate it so that the two starts at the same mirror position. So disappointed by this.
