If this should be serious, all money invested from now on in nuclear energy would be lost...

A great power source to have when we're all dead🤨

It didn’t need to take so long. Fossil fuel industry stalled this for so long.

It's not really net energy gain when the lasers took something like 300 megajoules from the grid to create a 3 megajoule output of energy.

No such thing as carbon free anything.
Greenland ice at a 43 year high, Antartic ice at 30 year high, 163% increase in global snow. A half a degree C drop in the global temperature in two years. It's going to get chilly!.

How long will it take to bring into being a viable source of energy? 50 years? It’ll probably cost trillions of $, £ or €. Could be beneficial for future generations, but when a third of the world are in poverty, it’s hard to see how developing nations will be able to adopt this technology.

How will we use this miracle power source?
Simple, heat water to steam, use that steam to drive a turbine, that turbine's spin creates electricity.
It's storing and moving that electricity around, which poses the bigger problem.
