The video does Dim with Action Mode on so the video will always appear darker. Turn it off and it will go back to normal like on the first clip. This is probably the reason it doesn’t work in low light.

The action mode really shows the stabilization capabilities of the iPhone. The good thing is it also maintains good chunk of the quality as well. So far from the tests the iPhone seems to have superior stabilization and better video quality.

I am blown away with the amount of stabilization 14 pro has, this has already surpassed nanu dedicated gimbals out there for sure !

I'm a Samsung fan for years but I can't deny that iPhone has the best video quality and performance. Sammy needs to work more on this section!

Thank you for the testing, Danny & wife. It opens my eyes to understand that the image stabilisation on ip-14 pro max is much better than 13 pro max. I hope this would be the same in 14+ which I might be getting it soon.

Action mode is so awesome, Samsung will have to step up their super steady mode, which is a tad more jittery and comparatively low res, in the next iteration.

Great comparison - and fun too, to include your wife. You should do so more often. The iPhone 14 stabilisation is crazy, so good. This increases Apple position in smartphone video even more. I hope the other companies accept the challenge to improve their phones too.

I think it looks pretty good. it's nice to know it's there especially if you want to take videos of kids playing outdoors. When they revealed the Crash detection gyro sensor and then the action mode, I remembered what Samsung did, linking their gyro sensor to the lens stabilization. Looking forward to a camera comparison with this and the S22 Ultra especially in video category

Fun video! I liked how you got your wife to do the filming this time. @2:37 where you said "That's not a good test", actually was a great test. The very shaky camera handeling came out amazingly stable looking on the 14 Pro Max with the action mode. I'm impressed!
