Seguni or (Orcinus orca) is a species of toothed aquatic mammal from the dolphin family and is the largest member of the dolphin group. This animal has black skin with a white underside and a white patch near each eye. Seguni have a diverse diet, although some populations often specialize in certain types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as seals and other dolphin species. They have been known to attack young baleen whales, and even adult whales. Seguni are apex predators, as no other animal preys on them.
As a cosmopolitan species, seguni can be found in all the world's oceans in a variety of marine environments, from the polar regions of the Arctic and Antarctic to tropical seas, some areas of the Baltic and Black Seas, and the Arctic Ocean. They are a social species; some orca populations consist of very stable matrilineal family groups (or so-called pods). The seguni group is the most stable social group in all animal species.
Their unique hunting and vocal communication techniques are often shared by specific groups and passed down from generation to generation. This ability has been described as a manifestation of animal culture.
