Here are my 9 best and most effective tips and tricks to drawing flat design illustrations in Adobe Illustrator CC in 2020/2021.

Today's tutorial is perfect if you are a beginner graphic designer or a more advanced designer looking to polish your technique and style in adobe illustrator cc 2021.

I will be drawing this cute Indian Elephant from sketch to vector. I will show you my tricks to completing this illustration. From sketching, to using the correct canvas size. Also will be using a combination of the Pen Tool, Shape builder Tool, Curvature Tool, and the Width Tool. I will also show you how I go about adding highlights and shadows.

You can use the shape builder tool to color as well. I find it much easier than any other coloring method.

About that tip #7, I would rather just fill in the colours where wanted, and then "Select similar colours", ctrl+x and paste it on a new layer.

Try the live paint tool to apply your colours. It's faster and more precise. You already have the shapes, why draw them again.
