I'm on the fence about Teslas. One way they're pretty neat cars but in other ways they aren't like with the quality control issues that people keep having upon delivery. But doing things like what you're doing with yours is pretty cool to see. I'm so stoked for the Kohler diesel electric hybrid you're working on.

Tesla talks a good talk but their engineering thinking and, worse, execution is poor. Like so many of these "tech" company's, they are pretty full of themselves.

It could be just a little thicker, maybe aluminized to better seal it and use a vapor barrier, ( me either )

not flimsy its better than aviation grade, you should see how "flimsy" aircraft are then. thats a thick chemical and weather resistant gasket and works on physics principles.

I knew it was too good to be true. Perhaps the Update could prevent another oil change? Update my oil? Electronically? Please!

Tesla car's look good, There pretty quick too. Unfortunately, quality of material's used are garbage, Tesla's finished fitment of body lines and panel gaps are performed every Friday @ 5 o'clock.

It would be fine if you could easily service that small motor or replace it with a coat friendly part but instead they want you to buy the whole assembly for hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars. Just did a Mazda shifter and instead of replacing the solenoid they replace the whole unit and coats 400 something dollars. I didn’t research but I could bet that solenoid isn’t more than 30 dollars. 💀

At least there’s a giant hole in the rubber pad to make water coming out of the handle. 😂 oh, by the way, you’re probably gonna fix few wire in this in the future by judging the quality of it.
